about
Seungwon (Simon) Lee is a Los Angeles-based composer for film, television, animation, and video games. Born in Korea and raised in Colorado, Simon holds a Master of Music in Screen Scoring from the University of Southern California, with additional training in Music Production and Game Audio.
His music has been featured across documentaries, narrative features, animated shorts, and games, with projects screened at festivals including CAAMFest, Fantasia International Film Festival, and other Oscar-qualifying festivals. In 2026, Simon was featured in VoyageLA as an emerging voice in the Los Angeles creative community.
In 2023, he led full audio direction—composition, sound design, and implementation—for a mobile game that surpassed 60,000 downloads. His orchestral score for an animated short earned Best Animation at SCA First Look 2024, and his original big band compositions for a collegiate game project were recognized by the Collegiate Games Challenge and Game Devs of Color Expo.
Simon has trained under an exceptional roster of working composers and conductors, including Patrick Kirst (The Kissing Booth), Lolita Ritmanis (Justice League vs. The Fatal Five), Peter Golub, and Pete Anthony, with conducting studies under Larry Livingston and GRAMMY®-winning conductor Amy Andersson.
Rooted in classical training as a pianist and violist, Simon brings both technical precision and a broad creative range to every project he takes on.
